Jane received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the College of New Rochelle. Her interest in neurosurgery and neuro-restortative care led her to pursue a higher degree to advance her practice. Jane obtained a Master’s of Science degree as an Adult Nurse Practitioner from New York University in 1997. In addition, she is certified as a Neuroscience Nurse from the American Nurses Credentialing Center of the American Nurses Association.
Prior to joining the The Spine Hospital at the Neurological Institute of New York, Jane worked as a nurse practitioner in neurosurgery at Mount Sinai hospital for 15 years. In her current role, she works closely with the doctors, nurses and other nurse practitioners in The Spine Hospital to coordinate the care of patients undergoing spine surgery. This includes pre and post-surgical care as well as educating patients to maximize their experiences.
Jane is actively involved in the American Association of Neuroscience Nursing and currently holds the position of Director for the Greater New York Chapter. She has participated and presented at the Association’s national meeting. Jane has also published in the field of neurosurgery.
