State of the Art Facility

The Spine Hospital at The Neurological Institute of New York is located on the 5th floor of the Neurological Institute of New York, 710 West 168th Street, New York, NY 10032 on the campus of NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital/Columbia University Medical Center. The Spine Hospital facility includes a large reception area, numerous private offices and examination suites for individual consultations. A fully equipped gym is available for physical therapy and rehabilitation.

The Spine Hospital at The Neurological Institute of New York is a division of Columbia University Department of Neurosurgery and a vital part of an integrated cooperative approach to spine care that also includes The Spine Hospital at Allen Pavilion, Pediatric Spine at Morgan Stanley Children’s Hospital, and ColumbiaDoctors Midtown (E. 51st Street).

Our Spine Hospital is part of the world-class NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital (NYP) system and renowned Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons (P&S). Our patients have direct access to the full range of services and expertise of these institutions such as imaging and other diagnostic testing, medical evaluation, pain management, rehabilitation and tumor board. Weekly spine conferences with our colleagues from rehabilitative medicine, pain management, and orthopedic surgery allow us to discuss challenging cases in a collaborative and multidisciplinary manner to provide the best care for our patients.

Exceptional Staff and Services

In addition to our board certified fellowship-trained spine neurosurgeons, our Spine Hospital is staffed with multidisciplinary professionals to assist in every aspect of your care. A dedicated patient concierge coordinates new patient appointments to assure timely access for initial consultations. Our administrative staff coordinates appointments, and answers any questions related to insurance coverage, directions, parking or address and other non-medical consideration. Each patient is assigned a registered nurse practitioner to coordinate all aspects of care such as scheduling imaging or other testing, pre-operative clearance and preparation, authorizations, perioperative instruction, and completion of medical forms.
